 For its second installment GNOME.Asia Summit has just kicked off in Vietnam. Organized in Ho Chi Minh City by a dedicated team of volunteers (thanks to Mario and Hong Phuc for bringing all those people together), BLUG is of course represented and giving talks about community building, women in Open Source and a few of the other projects we're involved in. The full schedule can be found here, but what you can not see are the endless evening discussions sharing experiences with other Asian LUGs around a Saigon beer; definitely something BLUG is also good at! All in all we can already tell 2010 will be a great FOSS year in Vietnam and around! |

Meetings
When do we meet?
- Monthly Meetings - every 2nd Tuesday of every month around Gui Jie
- Chuanr Nights Social Events - arranged by Chuanr Committee once or twice a month at selected chuanr restaurants
- Special Guests in Town Meetings - whenever we have guests specialized in Open Source coming to Beijing
- Groups Meetings - to be announced by Group Leaders respectively on a weekly, monthly or occasional basis
- Open Source conferences or events
- BLUG Anniversary - every year on November 19th

Do I need to register to the website?
You don't need to register to the BLUG website to attend our monthly meetings, however by registering here you will be able to: - Receive email notifications before events as well as important Open Source and Beijing LUG related information

You're passionate and have free time to give?
Then BLUG needs you! We have a few ongoing projects that require help and contributors. From project management to drive testing, writing articles, searching news, sorting out the wiki, designing icons, cool banners and more marketing materials, translating into Chinese and data entry, we can surely find the right spot for you!How to start? Contact us through here and tell us more about your interests and skills and how much time you have. Similarly, if you find something exciting in the group section just subscribe to that particular group and contact the team leader with the same information. Ultimately you can also start your own project within the BLUG and get people to support your effort!
